The Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has asserted responsibility for the death of a police officer in Jamrud. According to the TTP, the deceased was a former member of the Army who was subsequently employed as security personnel by the Housing Authority. The organization's statement further indicates that TTP militants confiscated one weapon from the deceased.
