At first tgBTC wanted to make Extra currency - transactions 10 times cheaper than Jetton. But now it will turn into Jetton itself. Why it is. It's easier, faster and fits perfectly into the TON ecosystem. Jetton is like ERC-20, only for TON, perfect for DeFi developers.

🖤 TON Core 2025 Roadmap: Collators and Beyond
The TON Core team shared their plans: collators (nodes to make the network fly), new validators, more DDoS protection, and even a tier 2 payment network. TON is clearly gearing up for something big!

Early miners and large holders have the lion's share of tokens in TON so far. More than 50% of the coins are frozen until October 2025 - to keep the market from shaking. For those who hold for a long time, they promise up to 7% per annum. Developers are also buying tokens from early miners through OTC deals to add liquidity and dilute concentration.
