South Korean project WEMIX suffered a smart contract exploit.
What happened:
🔒An attacker exploited a contract linked to WEMIX’s stablecoin, minted around 5.23 million unauthorized tokens, and swapped them for 30,736 WEMIX + ~724,000 USDC.
🤑The stolen funds were then bridged to Ethereum and BNB Chain.The team suspended network bridges and is coordinating with exchanges to freeze the assets.
