Pavel Durov announced the rollout of a native non-custodial Gram wallet to all Telegram users, turning the chat interface itself into a wallet and trading terminal. Just like X’s trajectory, the future of social apps seems to be merging with finance.
If over 1 billion users can transfer assets without installing a separate app, Telegram effectively becomes the world’s largest on-chain distribution channel.
The swap, transfer, and token discovery features provided by TG trading bots—many of which disappeared without ever conducting a TGE—will likely be absorbed into Telegram’s core functionality.

A unique aspect of Telegram is the tradability of stickers and phone numbers. It remains to be seen whether these will become premium assets similar to ENS.
