heard you! here are the first two topics:
Part 1
in order to get C1, you have to perfect all of the topics in this series.
—————————
1. advanced conditionals:
this type of conditionals includes:
- reversing the order of the condition and the consequence. ex.: “if I had a million Dollars, I’d buy a big house” —> “I’d buy a big house if I had a million Dollars”
- the use of alternatives in the condition clause (as long as, once, provided that, unless, etc.)
- inversion of the condition clause. ex.: “had I known, I would have changed the order.”
- implied conditionals. ex.: “I wouldn’t do that” — there, we both know what’s “that”, so it’s unnecessary to mention.
2. Future Perfect/Future Continuous. both of these serve to describe/mention an action in the future.
- future perfect: is used to describe an action that will have been completed at some point in the future.
the structure is: subject + will + have + past participle (third verb column) + a time expression (not always).
ex.: “John will have written a song by December.”
- future continuous: is used as a way to talk about something happening at a certain point in the future.
the structure is: subject + will + be + verb + -ing.
ex.: “I will be baking a cake at 7pm in the evening.”
