Cosmos-Based DeFi Protocol Quasar Started Mainnet After Raising More Than $11.5M 🚀

Chain has launched yesterday on March 22nd, from behind the scenes with an initial set of 23 genesis validators including kjnodes validator 🎉

Quasar is an appchain for decentralized asset management designed to interoperate with a broad network of blockchains implementing the Inter-Blockchain Communication protocol. Quasar uses vaults and their strategies to gather and deploy capital.

👷 For future validators

There will be more slots for permissionless validators opening up at the time of the TGE that is expected in Q2 2023. Until then, inflation will remain at 0% so nobody is missing out. The Quasar team will lean on Interchain Foundation guidelines to delegate team and foundation allocation to validators who, after launch, provide additional value-add services such as relaying, RPC endpoints, or archive nodes.

💸 Testnet Rewards & Incentives

Addresses who engaged in two or more vault interactions during our testnet are eligible for an airdrop once we reach the QSR token generation event (TGE) . A snapshot of the testnet chain was taken at the time of mainnet launch where over 20 000 wallets were qualified for the airdrop.

Currently the transfer and usage of the QSR token will be limited to securing the chain. Users DO NOT need to hold any QSR at this moment to use the first Interchain vaults. Fees can be payed in OSMO.
