A Counterintuitive Approach to Living a Good Life* is a bestselling self-help book by Mark Manson, first published in 2016. The book challenges the conventional positivity-focused self-help culture and argues that life’s struggles and limitations give it meaning. Manson encourages readers to embrace their flaws, accept responsibility, and choose carefully what to care about. Through candid anecdotes, humor, and psychological insights, he explores themes such as failure, uncertainty, and the importance of setting values. The central message is that by focusing on what truly matters and letting go of trivial concerns, one can lead a more fulfilling and authentic life
