Long before the internet or AI, Jesuit priest and philosopher Pierre Teilhard de Chardin envisioned the Noosphere: a worldwide network of human thought, increasingly interconnected, converging toward what he called the Omega Point, a godlike final state.

His ideas would later influence transhumanism and theories of the technological Singularity.
