Neuralink's brain implant chip called Blindsight has received breakthrough device designation from the FDA

Elon Musk is confident that Blindsight will allow people who have lost both eyes and the optic nerve, and those who have been blind since birth, to eventually see for the first time ever.

He said on X, that over time, such vision will surpass natural vision in quality and a person will be able to see in the infrared or ultraviolet range, basically their eyesight will improve.
