China Boasts AI Supercomputer "Fast As Human Brain"
Chinese scientists claim to have built a supercomputer that can run AI at the speed of a human brain, and perform a billion billion operations per second - in other words, more than 37mn CPU cores, four times more than the US-built Frontier.
The Newest Generation Sunway has 9 petabytes of memory, equivalent to 2mn DVD quality movies.
The machine can potentially be used for facial recognition and autonomous driving, among other applications, according the report in the South China Morning Post. (RT)
