The Joint Parliamentary Committee examining the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Amendment Bill, 2026 held a meeting at Parliament Annexe, New Delhi, under the chairmanship of BJP MP Sanjay Jaiswal.
The committee heard views and suggestions from representatives of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), Catholic Bishops’ Conference of India, All India Christian Council, and Centre for Advancement of Philanthropy. It also interacted with senior advocate and Rajya Sabha MP Kapil Sibal.
The committee will deliberate on the views presented and submit its report by the last day of the first week of Parliament's Winter Session 2026.
