🚨 🇺🇸🇷🇺 White House says it is “aware” of the suspected plague outbreak in Russia and is “monitoring the situation.”
Daria Shipilova, 28, a researcher at an anti-plague institute in Irkutsk, died after breaking a test tube containing the plague pathogen. Russian officials have not confirmed whether she contracted the disease.
Around 200 people were reportedly forced into quarantine, according to The New York Times.
