India Fortifies Siliguri Corridor with Underground Defence Network

India is developing underground ammunition and command facilities, alongside new rail links, highways and border roads, to strengthen the strategic Siliguri Corridor.

Plans include 12 underground air-defence ammunition stores, 5 command centres, 6 communication centres and 12 bomb shelters, along with multiple parallel transport routes.
