Product Management is actually not that hard.
You've just got to understand the business.
And the market dynamics.
And the competitive landscape.
And your users (plural, layered, sometimes contradictory).
And how customer problems map to business goals.
And how engineers stay engaged without burning out.
Аnd what sales really promised that enterprise client.
And how to keep support from becoming the escalation team.
You’ll need a roadmap that’s not just a timeline — but a narrative. You’ll need to understand strategy.
And how it connects (and often clashes) with execution.
And how discovery fuels it all — but only if you make time for it.
And iteration — the kind that compounds, not just spins wheels. Plus positioning.
And go-to-market.
And retention, engagement, monetisation.
And how all of it ladders up to actual revenue — not just nice dashboards.
You need to test hypotheses like a scientist.
Move fast — but not reckless.
Be lean — but not starved.
You’ve got to be data-informed, not data-paralysed.
Customer-obsessed, but not chasing every request.
Agile, but with a backbone. Technical enough to earn trust — but wise enough to listen.
And yes, do it all with finite time, shifting priorities, ambitious goals, and a team that’s counting on clarity.
Like I said.
Easy.
