For 70 days, the Islamic Republic has effectively held millions of people hostage through a nationwide internet shutdown.
This is not an internet disruption; it is a direct attack on people’s lives. Businesses have been destroyed, families’ livelihoods have been harmed, and people’s connection to the world has been cut off.
Under the cover of this blackout, arrests, repression, and executions continue while the voices of the victims go unheard.
Yet a large part of the international community still chooses to turn a blind eye to these atrocities, because taking a stand comes with a cost — and silence is easier.
