🟠April 2nd is designated as World Autism Awareness Day each year.
🔸The purpose of this naming is to encourage and invite the action of the UN member states in order to increase the collective awareness about this disease and its communities.
🔸On this day, autism organizations around the world come together to take action on research, diagnosis, treatment and acceptance of these people by the general public.
🔸Access to health care for these people is one of the main policies of the health system in Iran and the world. Recently, the occurrence of the coronavirus pandemic, it has caused many restrictions and challenges in the access of autistics to various health, treatment and welfare facilities.
🔸Autism, Asperger's syndrome, Developmental Disorder, and Childhood Disorder are four disorders called Autism Spectrum Disorders, or ASD.
These disorders affect people's perception of the world around them and their interactions with people. Keep in mind that autism is not a disease and there is no definitive drug treatment, but gaining abilities and developing skills in a person can give him or her an independent life.
🔸Epidemiological studies in Iran have shown that the range of people with autism is about 1 in 150
