የማላዊ አምባሳደር የሐዋሳ ልዩ ኢኮኖሚ ዞንን ጎበኙ

በኢትዮጵያ የማላዊ አምባሳደርና በአፍሪካ ሕብረትና በተባበሩት መንግሥታት የአፍሪካ ኢኮኖሚክ ኮሚሽን ቋሚ ተወካይ ኪዋሊ ሚሲካ የተመሩ የልዑካን ቡድን የሐዋሳ ልዩ ኢኮኖሚ ዞንን የሥራ እንቅስቃሴ ጎበኙ።

የሐዋሳ ልዩ ኢኮኖሚ ዞን ዋና ሥራ አስኪያጅ አቶ ማቲዎስ አሸናፊ በአምባሳደሩ ለተመራው የልዑካን ቡድን አባላት አቀባበል ያደረጉ ሲሆን፣ በልዩ ኢኮኖሚ ዞኑ ስለሚከናወኑ የሥራ እንቅስቃሴዎችም ገለጻ አድርገዋል።

አቶ ማቲዎስ በገለጻቸው፣ የሐዋሳ ልዩ ኢኮኖሚ ዞን በኢንዱስትሪ ፓርኮች ልማት ኮርፖሬሽን ለምተው ከሚተዳደሩት 14 ልዩ ኢኮኖሚ ዞኖችና ኢንዱስትሪ ፓርኮች አንዱ መሆኑን ገልጸዋል።
በአሁኑ ወቅትም በልዩ ኢኮኖሚ ዞኑ ተኪ ምርቶችን የሚያመርቱና ለሀገሪቱ ኢኮኖሚ እድገት ከፍተኛ እሴት የሚጨምሩ ዓለም አቀፍ ፋብሪካዎች እንደሚገኙ ጠቅሰው፣ በልዩ ኢኮኖሚ ዞኑ ከ21 ሺህ በላይ ዜጎች ቋሚና ጊዜያዊ የሥራ ዕድል እንዳገኙ አብራርተዋል።

የልዩ ኢኮኖሚ ዞኑን የሥራ እንቅስቃሴ በመዘዋወር የጎበኙት አምባሳደር ኪዋሊ ሚሲካ በበኩላቸው፣ በሐዋሳ ልዩ ኢኮኖሚ ዞን ያደረጉት ጉብኝት በሁለቱ ወዳጅ ሀገራት መካከል ያለውን ግንኙነት ለማጠናከር ከፍተኛ ጠቀሜታ እንዳለው ገልጸዋል።
ሀገራቸው በተመሳሳይ ዘርፍ እያካሄደች ላለው ልማትም ከኢትዮጵያ ልምድ መቅሰም ጠቃሚ መሆኑን ጠቁመዋል።

በማላዊ የሚገኙ አቅም ያላቸው ኢንቨስተሮች ወደ ኢትዮጵያ መጥተው ኢንቨስት እንዲያደርጉም የበኩላቸውን ሚና እንደሚጫወቱ ገልጸዋል።

ጉብኝቱ ለማላዊ ልዑካን ቡድን አባላት የልዩ ኢኮኖሚ ዞኑን እንቅስቃሴዎች በቀጥታ ለመመልከትና ኢትዮጵያ በኢንዱስትሪ ፓርኮችና በልዩ ኢኮኖሚ ዞኖች ልማትና አስተዳደር ያካበተችውን ልምድ በተግባር ለመገንዘብ ዕድል ፈጥሯል።

አምባሳደሩ የሐዋሳ ልዩ ኢኮኖሚ ዞንን የሥራ እንቅስቃሴ ከመጎብኘታቸው በፊት፣ የበሌ ለሚ ልዩ ኢኮኖሚ ዞንን ከሳምንት በፊት መጎብኘታቸው ይታወሳል።

Malawi’s Ambassador Visits Hawassa Special Economic Zone

A delegation led by Malawi’s Ambassador to Ethiopia and Permanent Representative to the African Union and the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa, Khwauli Msiska, visited the Hawassa Special Economic Zone, one of the 14 special economic zones and industrial parks developed and administered by the Industrial Parks Development Corporation (IPDC).

Mr. Matiwos Ashenafi, General Manager of the Hawassa Special Economic Zone, warmly welcomed the delegation and briefed its members on the activities being carried out within the zone.

In his briefing, Mr. Matiwos stated that the Hawassa Special Economic Zone is one of the 14 special economic zones and industrial parks developed and managed by IPDC.

He noted that the zone currently hosts international factories producing import-substituting goods and making significant contributions to the national economy.

He also explained that more than 21,000 citizens have secured permanent employment opportunities in the zone.

Ambassador Khwauli Msiska, who toured the operations of the Special Economic Zone, said that his visit to the Hawassa Special Economic Zone was significant in strengthening the relationship between the two friendly countries.

He noted that drawing on Ethiopia’s experience would be valuable to Malawi’s efforts to pursue similar development initiatives.

The Ambassador also pledged to play his part in encouraging capable investors from Malawi to come to Ethiopia and invest.

The visit provided members of the Malawi delegation with an opportunity to observe the operations of the Special Economic Zone firsthand and gain practical insight into Ethiopia’s experience in developing and managing industrial parks and special economic zones.

Prior to visiting the Hawassa Special Economic Zone, Ambassador Khwauli Msiska visited the Bole Lemi Special Economic Zone a week earlier.
