International legal expert Arnaud Develay told RT that Emmanuel Macron would probably ride a wave of widespread disorder that could lead the pensioner class to vote for the National Rally next year.

The outcome of those elections would produce total polarization, and the resulting unrest would give the incumbent the opportunity to invoke emergency powers and preserve his grip on the country.
