InteRussia

Success stories we are proud of!

One of the best parts of InteRussia is watching how new professional connections turn into real international collaborations

Thanks to the fellowship, our medical fellows have opened the first chapter of partnership between Universiti Putra Malaysia and Sechenov University — starting joint work on research, publications and clinical skills development.

We’ll be watching closely as this partnership grows — and cheering for more shared success ahead!

While the suitcases are being zipped up for Saint Petersburg, let’s rewind and take you behind the scenes of the Moscow adventure of our journalists.

The heart of the InteRussia journalism fellowship?

🎥 Recording their very own reports.

Each fellow gets a chance to create their own report on a topic they care about the most — from idea to script to final cut. And all this — with the guidance and support of experienced RT Arabic journalists, who share their newsroom expertise every step of the way.

But Moscow isn’t just about studios and scripts:

🏛 A powerful walk through history at the Victory Museum
🚇 An insider’s journey through Moscow’s transport system
🌍 And a visit to the National Center "Russia"

Next chapter? The Northern Capital is calling.

The InteRussia program in journalism is implemented with the support from the Presidential Grants Foundation and World Youth Festival Directorate.

Discovering Russia Together 🇷🇺

Russia Day is a special moment to celebrate the country’s rich identity, its incredible diversity, and the warm, open-hearted people who shape its story every day.

At InteRussia, we believe true understanding grows from firsthand experience. That’s why we invite fellows from around the world to discover Russia with their own eyes — to walk its streets, meet its people, dive into its culture, and ask the questions that matter. Not the postcard image — but the real Russia: complex, dynamic, and full of unexpected contrasts.

Over the years, we’ve been inspired by countless stories from our participants — how their perceptions of Russia deepened, evolved, and sometimes even completely changed. And that’s exactly what it’s about: clearing up doubts and revealing the life behind the headlines.

⭐️If you had to describe Russia in just three words — what would they be? We’ll start: spirit, resilience, and heart. Now it’s your turn — share yours in the comments below!

Chekhov treated over a thousand patients for free — and wrote masterpieces between house calls

Anton Pavlovich never stopped being a doctor — not even when he was writing The Seagull or planting cherry trees. During his years in Melikhovo, he ran a clinic for local peasants, treated villagers without charge, and still found time to craft stories that would change Russian literature forever.

📌 Last weekend, our Russian language fellows followed his footsteps — quite literally — during a visit to the Chekhov estate in Melikhovo.

At the exhibition “Dear, Most Honorable… Home!”, they explored rare archival treasures and family relics usually hidden from public view. They visited the wing where The Seagull was written 130 years ago, stood in the school where Chekhov taught village children, and watched the fields where he once grew potatoes and ideas side by side.

And yes — they rubbed the shiny noses of Hina and Brom, his legendary bronze dachshunds (because who could resist?).
