The InteRussia Fellowship Programme “Professional Training for Actors of Drama Theatre and Cinema” has officially opened in Moscow, bringing together 14 young actors from Argentina, Brazil, Germany, India, Egypt, Turkey, South Africa, Malaysia, China and Ethiopia.
The opening ceremony was held at the Russian Institute of Theatre Arts – GITIS and featured welcoming remarks by:
🔵 Marina Kiryushkina, Acting Rector of GITIS;
🔵 Lyana Dymova, Coordinator of Scientific Programmes at the Gorchakov Fund;
🔵 Konstantin Kolpakov, Deputy Head of Rossotrudnichestvo;
🔵 Alexandra Burman, Director of the International Cooperation Department at TV BRICS.
Over the coming weeks, the fellows will take practical classes in acting technique, stage speech and movement, study Konstantin Stanislavsky’s system and Vsevolod Meyerhold’s biomechanics, meet Russian actors and cultural figures, and visit the Moscow Art Theatre, the Bolshoi Theatre, the Stanislavsky Museum and other key venues. The programme runs until 3 October 2026.
The InteRussia Fellowship in Theatre Arts is implemented by Mezhdunarodniki Autonomous Non-Profit Organisation in cooperation with the Gorchakov Fund, GITIS and TV BRICS International Media Network. The programme is implemented as part of Rossotrudnichestvo’s flagship New Generation initiative with grant support from the Presidential Grants Foundation.
