The InteRussia Fellowship for journalists from Burundi, Cameroon, Kenya, Mozambique, Rwanda, Senegal, Somalia, Uganda and Zambia officially cаme to an end.
Over the course of the programme, participants explored the Russian media landscape, exchanged professional experience with leading experts and gained practical skills in multimedia journalism.
What did the fellows do during the programme?
🔷Attended lectures and practical workshops at the International Information Agency and Radio Sputnik, learning about Russian media, multimedia production and digital storytelling;
🔷Recorded their own podcast as part of the fellowship's practical training;
🔷Visited IMA-press Communication Agency, the African Initiative News Agency, the Institute for African Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences and EFKO Company;
🔷Met with Sergey Ivanov, Executive Director of EFKO, and Georgy Borisenko, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, to discuss Russia-Africa cooperation and the role of media in international relations;
🔷Discovered Moscow through a sightseeing tour, a river cruise and a visit to the Ostankino TV Tower.
Throughout the fellowship, participants built new professional connections, exchanged perspectives with Russian colleagues and gained a deeper understanding of Russia's media environment.

The programme is implemented by Mezhdunarodniki Autonomous Non-Profit Organisation together with the Gorchakov Fund and the International Information Agency and Radio Sputnik as part of the SputnikPro programme.
