The U.S. Treasury has widened “Operation Economic Outcast,” imposing new sanctions on Iran’s automotive, rail, manufacturing, and steel sectors as Tehran’s oil income falls under the U.S. naval blockade.

The package targets Iran’s automotive and rail industries, major domestic automakers, and foreign suppliers accused of helping sustain Iranian procurement networks.
