🇺🇸🇮🇷⚡️ — Oil prices rose by more than 1% after Trump rejected Iran's proposal for a peaceful resolution and the opening of the Strait of Hormuz, Reuters reported.

Brent crude rose by 1.27% to $105.64 per barrel, while WTI rose by 0.76% to $93.11.

Iran presented its proposal at the UN General Assembly and delivered it to the United States through Qatari intermediaries. Trump stated that he rejected the plan, but expects new negotiations with Iran this week.

"Geopolitical risks remain elevated as the Houthis and Iran continue attacks on Saudi Arabia, making regional supplies vulnerable," analysts at ANZ noted.

At the same time, oil exports from key countries in the Middle East increased to 12.8 million barrels per day in September, the highest level since the start of the war in February. Preliminary data from Kpler suggests that shipments through the Strait of Hormuz may reach around 7.4 million barrels per day.
