🇪🇹❌🇪🇹 — Fighting has broken out between Ethiopian federal forces and Tigrayan rebels in the Afar region, with clashes in Abala and Erebti and aid groups warning the violence could spread, AFP reports.

TPLF forces have reportedly seized the airport in Mekelle, the Tigray capital.

Seven Ethiopian militias, including the TPLF, have formed an alliance aimed at overthrowing the current government.
