Canadian PM Justin Trudeau invokes never-before-used ‘Emergencies Act’ to deal with ‘Freedom Convoy’ protests

The PM claimed the measures would be “limited-in-time” and “geographically targeted.”

Trudeau added the Emergencies Act would be used to strengthen and support the work of the police and stated the military will not be called up.
