US & NATO REJECT Russia’s key demands for security guarantees as confidential responses LEAKED

According to an apparent leak by Spanish newspaper El Pais Wednesday morning, Washington & NATO’s confidential responses show the Kremlin’s demands for security guarantees around Ukraine have been largely rejected.

▪️US ready to engage in dialogue over arms control over short and mid-range missiles, and denies deploying nuclear weapons in Eastern Europe

▪️US “firmly supports NATO’s Open Door Policy”

▪️NATO blames Moscow for a “substantial, unprovoked, unjustified and ongoing” military buildup in and around Ukraine and Belarus

▪️NATO insists “the reversal of Russia’s military buildup in and around Ukraine will be essential for substantive progress”

As Putin said Tuesday, Western partners have ignored Russia’s fundamental concerns.
