📲 Threads Begins Testing the Ability to Send DMs Without Switching to Instagram
#news #Insta

Threads, Meta’s microblogging platform, is testing direct messaging (DMs), allowing users to chat without leaving the app. The feature, rolling out first in Hong Kong, Thailand, and Argentina, includes a new envelope icon for accessing a dedicated Threads inbox, separate from Instagram’s DMs.

This shift contrasts earlier plans to merge Threads and Instagram chats. According to Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Instagram head Adam Mosseri, DMs have been a top user request since Threads launched, aiming to support more direct and open communication on the platform.
