​The Open Network Year in Review: 2023

As we step into 2024, let's take a moment to look back at the transformative year that was 2023 for TON.

Our Year in Review summarizes the network's progress, highlighting the events and milestones that have taken the ecosystem to new heights.

Key moments of 2023:

▪️World Blockchain Speed Record: TON shattered records in the first third-party verified live speed test by processing 104,715 transactions per second, surpassing all competitor blockchains and conventional payment systems like Visa.

▪️Integration with Telegram: TON’s groundbreaking collaboration with Telegram led to the integration of the self-custody TON Space wallet into the platform. This redefined blockchain accessibility and for the first time put crypto into the pockets of millions.

▪️The Gateway in Dubai: TON's inaugural in-person conference, attended by over 600 enthusiasts, featured major ecosystem announcements. It showcased the community's commitment to developing a Web3 SuperApp on Telegram, introduced The Open League incentives program, and unveiled plans for a series of significant technical developments, including a new L2 for TON Payments, the TON Teleport decentralized multi-chain bridge, and TON Browser.

As we embark on 2024, some big collaborations and exciting projects are in the works.
