β«οΈThis sent me down another rabbit hole π
Early researchers did experiment with specially prepared seawater solutions because seawater and our extracellular fluid share several important electrolytes, sodium, potassium, magnesium and calcium. Theyβre not the same thing, and raw seawater is absolutely not a blood substitute, but the chemistry is still fascinating.
For me, itβs another reminder of how deeply our bodies depend on water + minerals + balance.
