{ Бесконечное поле стелется до горизонта, но трава здесь застыла намертво, а небо висит так низко, что, кажется, до него можно дотянуться рукой. Снаружи дворец кажется безжизненным.

Но внутри ты уже не один.

Двери захлопываются за спиной с глухим стуком, коридоры начинают ползти и меняться местами, а лестницы, которые должны вести наверх, предательски спускают тебя обратно - к тому самому порогу, с которого ты начал путь. В каждом зале - следы тех, кто был до тебя: столы с остывшей едой, забытые игрушки, портреты без лиц и тяжёлые троны, развёрнутые к пустым стенам.

Но стоит лишь отвернуться - и картина расплывается. Игрушки исчезают без следа, на холстах прорезаются сотни глаз, а на одном из тронов вдруг возникает силуэт. Ты клянёшься - секунду назад его там не было.

Этот дворец не заброшен. Он просто ждёт короля. А ты - не король. Ты - очередной гость. И останешься здесь навсегда. }

{ The endless field stretches to the horizon, but the grass here is frozen solid, and the sky hangs so low that it seems you could reach out and touch it. From the outside, the palace looks lifeless.

But inside, you’re no longer alone.

The doors slam shut behind you with a dull thud, the corridors begin to creep and change their layout, and the staircases that are supposed to lead upward treacherously send you back down - to the very threshold from which you began your journey. In every hall, there are traces of those who came before you: tables with cold food, forgotten toys, portraits without faces, and heavy thrones turned toward empty walls.

But as soon as you turn away, the scene blurs. The toys disappear without a trace, hundreds of eyes appear on the canvases, and suddenly a silhouette appears on one of the thrones. You swear it wasn’t there a second ago.

This palace isn’t abandoned. It’s just waiting for a king. And you’re not the king. You are just another guest. And you will stay here forever. }
