The Indian Express Police assaulted Surat lawyer, then abused their authority to file FIR: High Court Lawyer was filming alleged ‘illegal money-collection’ by Traffic personnel. He was beaten by police, who then registered an FIR accusing him of extortion, casteist slurs, and assaulting a public servant. HC quashed FIR saying it was a ‘classic counter-blast’.
