There are 3 ways to "own XRP." Only one of them is actually XRP.
Everyone's mixing these up this week, so let's sort it out.
XRP
The token itself. It sits in your wallet, it's yours, and you can send it to anyone.
An XRP ETF
A fund you buy through your broker. You get the price of XRP, but not the tokens. No wallet, no keys.
Evernorth (XRPN)
A company. The merger is expected to close today, and it expects to hold about 473 million XRP. You own a piece of the company, not a piece of those coins. That's why the stock can drop 60% while the XRP inside stays exactly where it was.
Same theme, three doors. Only one gets you the token.
Which one did you think you were buying?
$XRP
