Ripple CTO David “JoelKatz” Schwartz (#JoelKatz) just shut down the latest FUD:

There is NO tax on the $XRP Ledger.
None. Zero. Nada.

…and nobody — literally nobody — gets to charge you a “tax.”

The only fee is a tiny anti-spam measure that burns $XRP so the network doesn’t get clogged with bots. That’s it. No middlemen. No rent-seeking. No “who’s taking the cut?” conspiracy.

The ledger is a public good. It belongs to everyone.

If anything, #JoelKatz basically reminded everyone that XRPL works like what Bitcoin wished it could be: fast, efficient, feature-packed, and not controlled by anyone. $XRP🚀🚀
