🔻 TRUMP DIDN’T SAY “ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE.” HE SAID “SUPER INTELLIGENCE” — AND ALMOST EVERYONE MISSED WHAT MAY BE THE BIGGER STORY: AMERICA IS BUILDING THE POWER SYSTEM FOR SOMETHING THAT DOESN’T EXIST AT SCALE YET.

At the United Nations this week, President Donald Trump used an unusual phrase while discussing America’s technological future: “super intelligence.” Meanwhile, another transformation is taking place far away from the cameras. U.S. electricity consumption is projected to reach record highs in 2026 and again in 2027, with AI-hungry data centers becoming one of the major drivers. (Reuters)

Now follow the infrastructure instead of the headlines.

A massive U.S.–South Korea investment package is taking shape around American energy and industry. Among the projects under discussion: a 6-gigawatt Texas power complex worth more than $20 billion, designed partly to feed data centers and semiconductor manufacturing, while negotiations also include the possibility of building up to eight nuclear reactors inside the United States. These projects are proposals under discussion, not eight reactors already under construction. (Reuters)

Why does AI suddenly need this much physical power?

Because the next race isn’t only about who owns the smartest model. It’s about who controls the electricity, chips, cooling systems, transmission lines and data centers capable of running millions of advanced processors continuously.

Now imagine the next layer — FICTIONAL SCENARIO // PROJECT 11.17.

An internal infrastructure map dated 11.17.26 doesn’t list an AI model at all. It lists four dependencies:

POWER → COMPUTE → NETWORK → INTELLIGENCE

Beside them is one sentence:

“THE MODEL IS NOT THE ASSET. THE GRID IS.”

Suddenly the trillion-dollar AI race looks different. Data centers become industrial infrastructure. Nuclear energy becomes computing infrastructure. Semiconductor factories become national infrastructure. And electricity itself becomes one of the strategic commodities of the intelligence age.

No secret document is required to see the real trend. America is already preparing for record electricity demand while billions are being discussed for new generation capacity, chips and data centers.

The speculative question is what comes after AI becomes powerful enough that computing capacity itself becomes a measure of national power.

2026 // COMPUTE
2027 // POWER
11.17 // SCENARIO ONLY

For a century, nations measured strength in oil, factories, ships and weapons.

The next measurement may be different:

HOW MUCH INTELLIGENCE CAN YOUR GRID KEEP ALIVE?

The AI race has already begun.

The energy race underneath it may be even bigger.

Share this before everyone starts watching the power instead of the screen.
