TWO FIREBALLS BLAZE ACROSS WESTERN SKIES

A brilliant fireball streaked across the West, triggering numerous reports from California, Arizona and Nevada as witnesses watched the object burn through the night sky.

And then it happened again.

Roughly 90 minutes later, a second fireball appeared over California.

Witnesses described the first as exceptionally bright, with some reporting pieces appearing to break away as it traveled overhead.

There’s no evidence the two events were connected, but the timing stands out.
