Following the near-paralysis of Iran’s aviation sector, Professor Mohammad Marandi, a member of Iran’s negotiating delegation, issued a stark threat against the Gulf states:
“If the family dictatorships in the Persian Gulf join Bessent’s attempt to halt Iranian flights, Iran will, if necessary, use force to shut down all of their airports.”In another post, Marandi explicitly threatened that Iran would attack airports in Qatar and the United Arab Emirates.
The new sanctions are clearly hitting the Iranians very hard.
