DAWN RAZOR

A one-man orchestra of underground music — DJ, producer, musician, promoter and former vinyl label owner. With more than three decades in electronic music, Dawn Razor has built a reputation as one of the most versatile artists in the Russian electronic scene.

With well over 100 releases to his name, the catalogue spans some of the most respected contemporary electronic labels, including R&S, ARTS, Sci+Tec, We Are The Brave, Tronic, Suara, In The Mood, Hypercolour, Planet Rhythm, Holding Hands, DEXT, Subsist and many more.

The sound moves freely between straight and broken-beat techno, breakbeat, electro, UK bass, IDM, mutated bass and post-trance. Twisted rhythms, heavy low-end, metallic percussion and futuristic textures form a distinctive sound that remains recognisable while constantly evolving.

Support has come from Richie Hawtin, Rødhad, Joey Beltram, Shed and other key figures of the scene. Tracks have appeared in mixes and playlists across Mixmag, DJ Mag, Essential Mix, Rinse FM and HÖR Berlin.

Performing both live and as a DJ, Dawn Razor continues to cross genre boundaries and explore new territory — from techno and electro to breakbeat, UK bass and trance. Never tied to a single sound, every set is a new transmission.
