Today on the map — Glass Beach ✨

Picture this: no sand under your feet, just thousands of colorful "gems" crunching along the shore — green, blue, white, amber. No magic involved, just Glass Beach (or "Steklyashka," as locals call it).

This place used to be a regular city dump. Over the decades, the sea took all that broken glass and slowly ground it down into smooth, shiny pebbles. Basically, nature turned trash into art — now the shore sparkles in the sun, and the water makes the stones glow even more.

Here's the sad part, though: there's less glass here every year. Tourists keep hauling it away by the kilo as souvenirs, and since the dump closed back in the 80s, there's no new glass coming in to replace it. So if this place is on your list, don't put it off too long.

📍 How to get there: take a bus from Vladivostok to Lazurnaya Bay (Shamora), then it's about a 15-minute walk along the trail. Driving works too — there's a parking lot, just get there early on weekends if you want a spot.

📸 Pro tip: go at sunset — the glass looks absolutely magical in that light. And bring water shoes, just in case — most of the glass is smooth, but a few sharp bits can still sneak in.

Представьте: вместо песка под ногами хрустят тысячи разноцветных «драгоценностей» — зелёных, голубых, белых, янтарных. Это не магия, а бухта Стеклянная (в народе — «Стекляшка»).

Когда-то здесь была обычная городская свалка, и море десятилетиями перемалывало битое стекло в гладкую гальку. Природа взяла мусор и превратила его в арт-объект: сейчас берег переливается на солнце, а вода делает камни ещё ярче.

Но есть и грустный факт: с каждым годом стекляшек становится меньше — туристы увозят их килограммами на сувениры, а новых «поставок» со свалки больше нет (полигон закрыли ещё в 80-х). Так что если хотите застать это чудо — не откладывайте.

📍 Как добраться: от Владивостока на автобусе до бухты Лазурной (Шамора), а дальше пешком около 15 минут по тропе. Или на машине — есть парковка, но в выходные место лучше занимать с утра.

📸 Лайфхак: приезжайте на закат — стекляшки светятся особенно волшебно. И берите тапки для воды: стекло гладкое, но местами может быть острым.
