Immutability Is Not the End of Security

A blockchain can preserve records for decades, but the cryptographic standards protecting ownership and authorization will continue to evolve. Immutability secures history; it does not freeze security architecture in time.

For long-lived infrastructure such as ICB Network, resilience means preserving continuity while remaining capable of adapting to new cryptographic standards. As digital ownership, identity, credentials, and smart contracts become more persistent, the ability to evolve trust mechanisms will become increasingly important.
