About: This webinar is based on a presentation by Dr. Harshavardhan Subbarao on the Signature Bridge Caisson Foundation (20 mins), and a lecture by Mr Amitabha Ghosal and Mr Subrata Basu on Vidyasagar Setu Caissons.
This will be followed by a 20 minutes Q&A session. The webinar will start with an introduction by the Chair of IABSE's Task Group 1.11 Mr. Alok Bhowmick on Design & Construction Techniques of Well (Caisson) Foundations.
TG 1.11 mission is to increase awareness about the history of the design and construction of Well Foundation for Bridges, Tall Chimneys, Transmission Towers and other structures, to promote improvement in design practices involving historic/existing structures.
