What if your warehouse could move goods between floors — without a driver?
Singapore is testing a new approach to warehouse automation.
CEVA Logistics is deploying two autonomous electric vehicles (AEVs) inside a warehouse. The vehicles are designed to move pallets and inventory between different floors, using existing warehouse ramps.
WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT?
Instead of relying on a human driver for every internal movement, the autonomous vehicles can navigate the facility and transport goods between levels.
That means warehouse operations can become:
• More automated
• Less dependent on manual transport
• More efficient for repetitive movements
• Better connected across multiple warehouse levels
📦 WHY DOES THIS MATTER?
Warehouses are becoming more than storage spaces.
They are turning into smart logistics systems where vehicles, inventory and software work together.
And the next step may not be faster trucks on the road…
It may be smarter movement inside the warehouse.
WHAT'S NEXT?
As autonomous technology develops, we could see more warehouses where robots move goods, software controls workflows, and humans focus on higher-value tasks.
The future of logistics may be built floor by floor.
