Bug Fix Announcement

Several Human nodes recently reported that although they had 84/84 epochs AND had participated in the validator-poll, they had only received half of the rewards.

The Humanode team investigated the issue. As a result, an error in the internal tooling was discovered.

This issue has been corrected, and the results will be calculated again. Those who should have received full rewards will receive them once the process is over.

There is no action required on the side of the Human nodes.

Thank you for informing the team of the issues and for your patience.

The time has come for the final two chapters of 2067 - the equilibrium, the dystopian novel inspired by Humanode by Shannon Higgins, the Humanode Media Team Lead.

The 9th chapter of the 10 chapter novel, the Book of Nagi, focuses on the struggle between the powers of change, the powers that desire to cling to tradition, the powers that just want power, and the ones that want to hold on to their vested interests.

Kujo Nagi, the "butler" of Yoshida Tomoito, the Chairman of the Yotsutomo Shoji Group, the largest business empire in Japan, is not just good at making the perfect coffee, but knows how to clean up messes, no matter how ugly. As much as he would rather just live a quiet life, serving his master the perfect coffee, he has no control over the changing world, nor does his master seem to want to stay out of trouble.

Grab your coffee or tea and find a comfy chair, for it is time to get reading The Book of Nagi, Part 1/4 here: https://www.wattpad.com/1551966836-2067-the-equilibrium-the-book-of-nagi-part-1-4

Time for some Vortex related learning.

The war goes digital.

Fake names. Sockpuppets. Duplicate accounts.
The Sybil game leveled up when the internet came along.

But the Sybil resistance mission stayed the same:
Keep one person = one voice.

The next validator poll is live.

If you’ve linked your validator address to your bio-authenticated Discord, just head to validator-polls and vote.

If not, you can still do it. Remember, voting is part of the deal under Proof-of-Polls to be eligible to receive full validator rewards.

As always, the poll will be open for 3 days. Jump in and cast your vote.

Building a dApp on Humanode EVM just got a whole lot easier with thirdweb SDK.

Deploy contracts, add auth, and much more. Also you can use Humanode Biomapper for onchain Sybil resistance.

Here's a guide on how to get started: https://blog.humanode.io/how-to-build-on-humanode-evm-using-thirdweb-sdk/

Before private biometrics, zk-proofs, and wallet sign-ins, there were Cylinder seals and juror tokens in ancient Athens, census rolls, and scar descriptions in Egyptian wills.

Turns out Sybil resistance isn’t new; it’s ancient and always mattered.

Humanode Biomapper’s making headlines, but don’t sleep on Humanode BotBasher.

It’s still doing its job, kicking Sybils out of Telegrams and Discords.

Here’s how we used it to verify 861 humanode validators for our Proof of Poll [and you can use it to do more than just keeping bots and scammers out of your Discord and Telegram]: https://blog.humanode.io/botbasher-usecase-humanode/

Builders can now build their applications and projects on Humanode, utilizing the
thirdweb SDK.

Yes, that is right, not only will you be able to build Sybil-resistant applications with ease and experience the benefits of building on Humanode, but you will also be able to build with the ease that thirdweb brings to the table.

For those who aren't aware, with over 70,000 developers using the platform, thirdweb is the leading web3 development platform. It simplifies blockchain application creation and management. And offers full-stack development capabilities across 2000+ EVM chains and a comprehensive suite of tools for developers.

The results for the very first validator poll are in!

And pleasantly surprising, 861 out of 1400 active human nodes tied their verified Discord accounts and voted, that’s over 60% participation in the very first round. And it’s just the beginning. And we expect more human nodes to participate as we move forward.

Reminder: According to the new validator fee structure, to receive the full $25 validator reward, Human nodes must:
* Achieve 84/84 epochs
* Tie your verified Discord account to your node
* Vote weekly in #validator-polls Discord channel

Those who just complete 84/84 epochs will receive $12 (enough to cover basic cloud costs).

The polls may be simple for now, but they’re the first real step toward Vortex (Humanode DAO).
