We’ve shipped the update to the Humanode mainnet.
There are two methods to update your system running the
humanode-peer from Ubuntu 20.04 to Ubuntu 24.04:1. Create another VM to run the
humanode-peer simultaneously with your current node setup. Sync the new VM fully, and then "set keys" to switch to the new node. After that, you can shut down the old VM instance. This is the preferred and recommended way of updating. Note, you have to insert the mnemonic from your current validator node, so make sure you have access to it.

2. Updating your in-place operating system without full re-synchronization. This method is risky and takes time. Expect your old setup with Ubuntu 20.04 to break with this update, so do not attempt this method if you aren’t ready to deal with it and don't have ample time. The sole purpose of listing the method is that it’s another way to update.

You can see the update in your Humanode launcher settings’ update section by clicking “Check for peer updates”.
Also, the node will be unavailable for a few minutes while the update is in progress.
