🇾🇪/🇸🇦-The Saudi regime claimed the day before yesterday that it intercepted a cruise missile in Riyadh, whose debris damaged residential homes and a car.

A photo of the debris was published, revealing it to be the engine of a MIM-401 Talon missile from the THAAD long-range air defense system against ballistic missiles. It had been launched to intercept a ballistic attack by Yemeni forces, and there is no truth to the interception of any cruise missiles.

Notably, this marks the first documented THAAD intercept since the resumption of the Yemen-Saudi war, a development that exacerbates the severe shortage of stockpiles in the region.
