🇺🇸/🇮🇷-The U.S. military has drawn up new offensive plans that include the potential use of the bomb known as "The Mother of All Bombs" against energy infrastructure and nuclear sites within Iran, should Trump order the resumption of military confrontation with the Islamic Republic. The use of the GBU-43/B, known as MOAB, which is the largest non-nuclear bomb in the U.S. arsenal weighing approximately ten tons, would represent a significant escalation in the course of the war if used for the first time within the framework of this confrontation.

However, there are doubts about its effectiveness in achieving decisive strategic objectives or changing the balance of the war. Trump also ordered the military to prepare additional offensive plans targeting Iranian sites, including "a significant portion of the energy infrastructure," while keeping the option of using the MOAB bomb on the table. According to reports, the plans targeting Iranian nuclear sites, including the "Fas" mountain site, explicitly include the possibility of using this bomb.

However, this bomb is not effective enough to target deep underground facilities, as its actual impact is limited to surface targets. Trump may resort to using it as a weapon with a psychological character rather than a purely military one, given the Islamic Republic's adherence to its positions and its lack of any willingness to make concessions or submit in any potential negotiations.
