CheckoutRails is building a next-gen billing and payments infrastructure. We are hiring a Lead DevOps Engineer to take full ownership of our cloud infrastructure, enabling scalable, secure, and high-performing systems. You will lead the DevOps function, drive automation, and align DevOps strategy with business goals.

Key Responsibilities:
– Design and manage secure, scalable AWS infrastructure
– Lead and mentor the DevOps team
– Implement and optimize GitLab CI/CD pipelines
– Build monitoring and alerting systems
– Automate infrastructure using Terraform
– Ensure security, reliability, and smooth deployments
– Collaborate across engineering and product teams

✦ Qualifications:
– Proven experience in DevOps/Infrastructure roles
– Deep knowledge of AWS (ECS, RDS, CloudWatch, SQS, etc.)
– Proficient with GitLab CI/CD and Terraform
– Skilled in observability, vulnerability management, and documentation
– Leadership and mentoring experience
– Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

✦ Preferred Qualifications:
– Familiarity with PHP/Symfony stack
– Experience with JumpCloud, Sentry, Grafana, Metabase
