✦ Job Description:
We are looking for a System Administrator to join our team and work on a software package for analyzing and tracking blockchain transactions across various cryptocurrencies (AML - anti money laundering). The position involves creating ecosystems for payment acceptance and cryptocurrency exchange.
Location: Singapore, Dubai, Russia, Kazakhstan (possibility of working from other locations).
✦ Key Responsibilities:
I. Linux Administration:
– Configure and manage the network subsystem
– Centralize management of the netfilter firewall
– Server maintenance (working with RAID, ext*/zfs file systems)
– Manage access control policies
– Configure and manage systemd services
– Set up proxies/load balancers
– Configure, collect, and filter logs
– Work with backup and data recovery strategies. Set up automated backup processes, including regular data recovery testing and monitoring
– Audit/debug OS/system/network events
– Basic security settings
– Automate processes with Ansible
II. Monitoring and Logging Stack (based on Prometheus/grafana/alertmanager/loki):
– Set up server and service monitoring systems
– Deploy/configure metric exporters
– Collaborate with developers to add metrics to applications and configure their collection and storage
– Manage labels and optimize metric collection using relabeling
– Configure alerts with grafana+alertmanager using Terraform
– Visualize metrics in Grafana with PromQL
✦ Qualifications:
– 3+ years of experience as a systems/infrastructure engineer
– 5+ years of experience with Linux OS
– Strong knowledge of core network protocols (IP, TCP, UDP, HTTP, HTTPS)
– Automation & IaC: Ansible, Terraform, GitLab-CI
– Experience with Prometheus & Grafana & Alertmanager monitoring
– Experience with Git, Kafka, PostgreSQL, HashiCorp Vault, Consul
– Experience with containerization systems (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.), understanding host network subsystem interaction
– Experience with Yandex Cloud, Digital Ocean is a plus
✦ Key Duties:
– Monitor server status (memory consumption, load)
– Close unnecessary ports, monitor DDoS attacks
– Manage internal access zones for various applications on servers
– Set up developer/service access to servers (strictly via VPN)
– Order new server resources, integrate them into the overall system
– Set up incident monitoring
– Conceal all domains/additional services on servers
