FURIA had been testing YEKINDAR as a caller partly in preparation for FalleN's impending retirement at the end of the year, with the Latvian calling T sides on Anubis, Cache, and Ancient. However, he has since repeatedly stated in interviews that he wants to explore in-game leading later in his career, not now while he still feels he can perform as a role player.
"Credit where it's due: I'm not calling anymore, and hopefully I'm not going to be anymore in the future," he said when asked about FURIA's Cache T side after the match. "Because you know, we tried it, we tried it to understand like, is this something I want to pursue? Is this something the team needs?
"And I came to the conclusion that this is too much cortisol, I don't want to IGL, and I was like, 'FalleN, you need to take these maps back,' (laughs) and he was like, 'Of course I'm going to take it back, no problem.'"
