AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi criticised Union home minister Amit Shah’s announcement that NDA governments in 21 states would introduce the Uniform Civil Code before 2029. Owaisi said, “The soul of this country is its pluralism,” and argued that the UCC was not about equality.
