Congress leader Rahul Gandhi appeared to take a veiled dig at the vegetarian menu served at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s gala dinner for BRICS leaders, saying, “Indian non-vegetarian food is delicious” and praising his sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra’s chole bhature.

Congress MP Pawan Khera also criticised the government, accusing the BJP of “imposing dietary preferences” and questioning why non-vegetarian delicacies were not included in the menu.
